Hudson's Bay Four Point Wool Blanket

A historic Four Point Wood Blanket made in England by Hudson Bay. The point system was designed by weavers to indicate the size of the blanket when folded. The blanket has four vivid stripes of green, red, yellow, and black on a white background. It also has four short think black stripes to help with size identification. The point size four identifies this as a blanket that was meant to fit a double bed. It measures 72’ by 88’. The blanket has a strong connection with early Canadian history and was used in trade with the native people.
Condition
Item has a small area of moth damage, not all the way through. It also has a couple of small stains.
