A vintage original oil painting on canvas of a still life of light pink zinnias in a fiery orange vase by an anonymous artist, circa 1940. Thick, impasto paint renders the flowers that come forward in the foreground, giving depth to the pictorial space. This painting is not signed, presented in a decorative beveled wood frame with a gold leaf finish.

Condition

- to fair. Craquelure and paint loss throughout painting surface, more severe on the left side, and most in upper left corner. Canvas is significantly warped and puckered. Finish of frame is damaged along edges and on corners.
