Antique Weller Ceramic Pitcher and Vintage Jenkins Ceramics Bowl
Item Details
An antique Weller ceramic pitcher and vintage Jenkins Ceramics bowl. The ‘Louwelsa Weller’ mark on the bottom of this pitcher dates it to the late 19th/early 20th century. This pitcher has a glossy dark brown finish that is crackled, with blackberries, leaves, and a stem design on one side. The pitcher tapers toward the top, with a pour spout, and an arched handle on the side. Besides the maker’s mark, the bottom reads ‘580’ under which is a ‘6’. The 1950’s era jardiniere from Jenkins Ceramics is nine inches in diameter, has a upper rim that curves inward, and a drip glaze green finish. The bottom reads ‘Jenkins Ceramics’.
Condition
There is a chip on the inside lip of the pitcher, on the side with the design. As noted, the glaze is crackled. Overall good for it’s age. The bowl is in good shape.
Dimensions
Box items would fit in. The pitcher, from handle to widest part of the base, is 7-inches. The base is 5.75 inches in diameter. Bowl is 9 inches in diameter, and 4.5 inches tall.
