"Ancient Fragment" Mixed Media Painting by Neil Di Teresa

An original mixed media painting by listed Kentucky artist Neil Di Teresa, titled Ancient Frament. Di Teresa, a professor of drawing and painting at Berea College in Kentucky, is best-known for his sprawling landscapes. This simple abstracted image is created mostly with intersecting areas of bright yellow watercolors and thin gilt-toned foil. It is double-matted in pale gray and white, and is presented behind glass in a simple wooden frame. A thick string is attached to the verso for hanging, along with a broken wire that was originally used. A tag giving the artist’s name, the title, and a gallery price is also attached to the verso. Condition
-to fair. Glass is detaching slightly from frame on top edge. Matting has yellowing on edges, and light debris between it and glass. Paper is slightly warped. Frame is pulling apart at corners.
