Bustamante (b. 1964) was born in Cordoba, Spain and discovered her artistic ability in her childhood years, growing up with seven siblings on a farm. She graduated from Facultad de Bellas Artes in Seville in 1988, with a degree in Fine Arts and began to work on her doctorate, spending five years restoring works at San Isidro Church (XIV) in Seville, as well as the murals in the Guadaloupe Monastery in Caceres. Bustamante is inspired by the various cultures in Europe, India and Asia, and incorporates these influences into her own art, while adding contemporary details. Her style can be described as romantic and mystical, and her beautiful works have won her acclaim in both her native Spain and the United States. Bustamante had many exhibitions in Spain throughout the last two decades of the 20th century, and currently lives in Madrid, Spain with her Dutch husband.
