1890 "Memories of the Crusade" - Temperance Movement

An 1890 hardcover volume, Memoires of the Crusade, by Women’s Christian Temperance Union leader Eliza Daniel Stewart or ‘Mother Stewart’. It describes the movement’s founding and its ‘crusade’ against alcohol. It is bound in a green cover with embossed scrolling vine designs, and has gilded page edges. It is illustrated with offset lithographs and photographs.

- minor cover wear and paper discoloration consistent with age.
