Vintage Wood Carved Birds

Item Details

A pair of vintage carved wooden bird figurines. The depicted birds are probably hoopoes which are known for the beautiful tuft of feathers at the tops of their heads. These delightful statuettes have exquisite detailing on the feathers, and each bird has glass eyes. The wood has been stained dark on the feathers, beaks and bases where it has been carved to illustrate a leaf pattern.
