Vintage Sestral Mariner's Compass

Item Details

A vintage Sestral mariner’s compass. It features a free floating compass face set in a glass globe and a cylindrical metal casing. The casing is marked ‘Henry Browne & Son’ and is stamped ‘No. 91471V’. Worked upon testing. This piece was originally used on a Swedish Storebror ship during the mid-1960s. Also included is a parallel rule for plotting directions on a map.

Condition

Wear consistent with age and use. Moderate soiling and some rust.
