Vintage German & French Books
Item Details
A vintage collection of two French and two German books. The German books are ‘Volksliederbirch’ (‘Folksongs Break’ – appears to be nursery rhymes or folk rhymes) and ‘Die Bibel’ (‘The Bible’, 1901.) The French books are ‘Le Chat Botté’ (‘Puss in Boots’) and ‘L’ Histoire Divertissante de Jean Gilpin’ (‘The Entertaining Story of John Gilpin’, 1925). ‘Le Chat Botté’ has a hand written in French paper in the front cover.
Condition
The books are in good condition for their age. The “Volksliederbirch” has a bit of wear to the cover and loose frontispiece/title page. All have yellowing and round corners to the pages.
