Empire Mahogany Server

Item Details

An Empire mahogany veneer server of North Shore, Massachusetts, circa 1830s. The chest is comprised of a single shelf to the top with fretwork spirals, ornately carved foliate columns and four full size drawers with burled mahogany veneer fronts. The drop drawer is set forward, and all the drawers have keyhole escutcheons and locks (the bottom is a faux-lock) as well has hinged pulls with grapevine escutcheons. Thin hand carved dovetail drawers.

Condition

Chip to top and bottom drawer veneer. Tarnish to pulls. Second drawer is missing key escutcheon.
