A limited, commemorative edition offset lithograph of a painting by British portrait artist Barry Leighton-Jones (1932-2011) depicting one of the world’s most famous clowns, Emmett Kelly (1898-1979). In this image, Kelly is dressed in his well-known ‘Weary Willie’ costume and stands in the center of a bustling circus performance. The print is signed in the lower right by the artist, and in the lower left by Kelly’s widow, Eva Kelly. It is also numbered 2301/9900 in the lower left. A small embossed gold foil plaque at the base of the print reads ‘Emmett Kelly, Commemorative Edition,’ and is embossed with another small portrait of the clown. This collectible print is matted in white with gilt and black inlays, and is presented behind glass in a gilt frame. Sawtooth hangers are attached to the verso for hanging.
