Paul V. Ravenstein Pencil or Pastel Landscape

Substantial piece in rich period wood frame by the German artist Paul Von Ravenstein, 1854-1938. Signed by the artist in the lower right corner, with his emblem in the lower left. This is an original pencil or pastel of a mountainous European scene, showing an appreciation of both nature and architecture.

Condition

There is a vertical area in the upper middle sky about 3 or 4 inches wide that is darker than the area around it. This could possibly be some damage, either where the paper or canvas is aging or in the way it was treated or affixed. Please preview.

Some wear to finish of frame in lower right corner.
