A drypoint etching by John Geroge Mathieson (19th c., Scottish) titled Trees. Mathieson was a prolific landscape artist who has been featured at such prestigious institutions as the Royal Scottish Academy, the Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, the Royal Academy, and many others. This etching is on laid paper bearing an ‘F.G. Head & Co.’ watermark. Signed in pencil by the artist in the bottom center and inscribed illegibly in pencil beneath. Matted in white. Unframed.
