Vintage 1948 Roos Sweetheart Cedar Chest

Item Details

A vintage 1948 Roos Sweetheart cedar chest. This cedar chest has a mahogany laminate on the outside, beveled lid, bracket feet, and beveled scroll top apron. Originally the chest had a tray but it is missing. The lid has a round turn knob locking latch, but the key and receiving end of the lock on the lid are missing. The original label is on the inside of the lid, with a manufacturing date of May 1, 1948, made by the Ed Roos Company of Forest Park, Illinois.

Condition

A cedar board in the bottom has come loose, and some of the laminate has come off of the outside. The latch/lock receiver is broken off of the lid.
