Antique Lithograph of Water Lilies by Emilie Vouga

Item Details

An antique lithograph of water lilies, nesting birds and cattails. The print is done mostly in greens, which draws attention to the yellow of the water lilies. Emilie Vouga (1838-1909) was a Swiss painter who often painted both birds and flowers E. Vouga is found written on the bottom left. The print is in an elaborate wood and metal frame that has a series of plain bands, beveled edges, carved flowers and fleur-de-lis carvings. The print has a wire for hanging on the back.

Condition

The print is in good condition for its age, but the frame has chips and dings, especially on the layer that sticks out the most. Scratches are found on most of the layers of the frame. The back paper covering is torn in several places.
