A Japanese bayonet knife in the style of the bayonet knife for the Murata Type 18 rifle. Murata rifles were produced by Imperial Japan beginning in 1885, with production ceasing in 1905. There were several variants of the Murata rifle, and this style of bayonet was designed to fit the variant Murata Type 18 rifle. The knife has a wood and metal hilt and an approximately 18’ blade.
