Item Details

A vintage gouache watercolor painting by an artist who has signed their name as ‘Angell’ to the bottom left corner. The image depicts an charming little girl wearing a sun bonnet, a white dress with scalloped hemlines, and baby blue mary janes with socks. She prances along a dirt path lined with trees and flowers, holding a parasol in one hand and carrying a little change purse in the other. Double-matted in cream and white behind glass and presented in a wood frame with a gold-toned speckled finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso, as well as a sticker from H.P. Beckmann Gallery in Toledo, Ohio.

Condition

- condition consistent with age. Water damage visible in top third of painting through sky area. Some foxing throughout. Discoloration on interior edges of mats. Finish of frame is scratched along edges.
