Genuine Mahogany Breakfront China Secretary

Item Details

A genuine mahogany bookcase with secretary desk. The top section the book cabinet has four doors, two in the middle and one on either side with convex glass panels within a wooden oval design. The bottom portion of the cabinet has four drawers in the middle section, the top one being a pull out secretary desk. The secretary desk has two small pull out drawers stacked on top of one another with four open cubbies on either side. The writing surface of the desk has an ornate gold filigree border. On both the left and right side of the bottom portion, there is a pullout drawer with a door below it with two shelves inside. All of the doors of the cabinet have a key lock that acts as the knob to open it. The molding on top of the cabinet has a thin beading detail and a beautiful decorative pediment topping the middle section. The piece was made by Saginaw Furniture Shops Inc., and has a genuine mahogany label (#444) from the Mahogany Association.
