Antique Oak Side by Side Secretary Bookcase

Item Details

An antique oak side-by-side secretary desk and bookcase. On the left side a single wood framed glass door protects four movable shelves. On the right side, a narrow fall-front desk opens to reveal several pigeon holes and a drawer above the writing surface. Immediately below the desk is a single drawer and a door which conceals a storage area. The top of the piece features decoratively carved designs and a shaped mirror. The case rests on elongated and slightly curving legs. There is a key that locks all of the compartments included with this item. The piece retains a paper label affixed to the back, ‘W.D. Jordan & Co./ Glasgow, KY/ Furniture and Undertakers.’
