An oil on canvas portrait of George Chandis by well listed Cincinnati artist Tom Lohre, painted in 1981. Lohre is an artist and scientist who learned his practice from master portrait painter Ralph Wolf Cowan. He paints from life both portraits and events. George Chandis was painted from life, the artist living with the subject for several months. The painting shows Chandis in front of a Maurice Clifford painting and Atlanta’s skyline visible through the window. The painting is signed and dated to the lower left, there are three informational pages affixed to the verso. It is not framed; ready to hang.
