A catalogue documenting government-issued postage stamps from around the world, as well as an album for collecting and displaying them. Scott’s Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue edited by John L. Luff and Hugh M. Clark (New York: Scott Stamp & Coin Co., 1930). This catalogue entices its readers (and especially the more timbro-maniacal among them) with a title page promising the ‘date of issue, color, shape and value of every postage stamp that has ever been issued by any government in the world with illustrations of nearly every type of stamp, and giving the price at which most of them may be purchased, used or unused, of Scott Stamp and Coin Co., Ltd.’ This lot also includes for the budding philatelist an International Junior Postage Stamp Album designed and written by Theresa M. Clark (New York: Scott Stamp & Coin Company, undated), a stamp album with space ‘for more than 31,000 varieties [of postage stamp] from the earliest issues up to the time of publication.’

Condition

-The covers show wear.
-The stamp album has a prior owner’s contact information written in the flyleaf. The book appears almost completely free of collected stamps.
