A Dale Chihuly dark red Venetian series sculpture in cadmium red and black, resting on a black acrylic base. The large bowl is in the shape of a clamshell and is 14" long. A smaller shell-shaped piece fits inside of that, with a flattened orb completing the sculpture. The blown glass artwork is in three pieces, with the artist’s signature etched on the center piece, and dated ’99. Chihuly (b. 1941) began creating works of glass art in 1975 after studying in Venice, growing to worldwide acclaim.
