An assortment of six figure drawings in charcoal, graphite, and other various media by well listed Cincinnati artist Evelyn Levy Shaw (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1921 – 2009). There are also approximately eleven graphic design studies on newsprint. The artist has thoughtfully portrayed a variety of different models, exhibiting her talents and well articulating the human anatomy with keen sensibility. This lot features a variety of evocative figures, and several populated drawings, two of them embellished beautifully with color. None of them are framed, but all should frame well. The drawings are signed by the artist with exception of one male nude and some of the smaller graphic studies.
Condition
Fair-good, with general wear and toning to the paper, some smudges, et cetera, should frame beautifully.
Dimensions
Dimensions of drawings may be inter changeable depending on their orientation. The smaller graphic studies measure 11"w x 17"h
