An assortment of seven figure drawings in charcoal, graphite, and other various media by well listed Cincinnati artist Evelyn Levy Shaw (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1921 – 2009). There are also approximately 19 graphic design studies on newsprint. The artist has thoughtfully portrayed a variety of different models, exhibiting her talents and well articulating the human anatomy with keen sensibility. This lot features a variety of evocative figures, several populated drawings, and one particularly captivating seated male nude. None of them are framed, but all should frame well. The drawings are signed by the artist with exception of one male nude and some of the smaller graphic studies.
Condition
Fair-good, with general wear and toning to the paper, some smudges, et cetera, should frame beautifully
Dimensions
Dimensions of drawing may e interchangeable depending on the drawing’s orientation. The smaller drawings measure 17"h x 11"w.
