An original watercolor on paper painting signed to the bottom right hand corner by esteemed, well listed, and thoroughly loved Cincinnati painter and muralist Carl John Zimmerman (1900 – 1985). As much as this painting is painted with a thoroughly naive sensibility, wherein phenomena aren’t entirely described, there is something tangibly real about this painting. Zimmerman has beautifully described a snowy hillside lined with houses and trees. The watercolor is framed in an ample wooden frame with modest finish, and a single white mat with borders to edge.

Condition

Good-Fair, the watercolor is in great shape and the only issue is purely cosmetic. The drawing and mat have gone wavy in the frame. This is a problem that’s easily fixed.
