Rare Vintage 1929 First Year Colt Super 38 Automatic Pistol

Item Details

A highly desired firearm for gun collectors world wide is the 1929 first year Colt Super .38 Semi Automatic pistol, in dark blue with walnut grip handle. This pre-war pistol comes with it’s original two tone finish clip that says ".38 Auto Colt" on the bottom. Some of the features include a "half moon" front sight and and square "dove tail" rear sight. The serial number, located on the right side of the frame behind the slide release lever hole is "884". On the left side of the trigger guard, directly above the VP/Triangle proof mark is what could be the number "1" or a lower case "l". Flip the pistol over to the opposite side and the number "24" is in the same position on the trigger guard. The left side of the piece has the elongated Hartford address and patent dates 1897-1913. There are signs of holster wear and tiny pin head areas of rust dotting the barrel, but no heavy signs of it. This pistol has not been fired, taken apart or cleaned by EBTH, therefore it’s working condition cannot be verified. This piece does look to be in well kept condition with no flaws that would impede firing, but this cannot be guaranteed.

The winning bidder will be responsible to make payment to North College Hill Gun Store separately for costs associated with transfers ($15.00) or shipping (contact North College Hill Gun Store for a shipping estimate).
