Antique Chinese Wedding Cabinet

A gorgeous antique Chinese wedding cabinet. This cabinet is made of solid wood and painted red, the color of good luck and prosperity, with a large brass circle on the front. The cabinet doors also feature ornate brass pulls. Behind the doors is a central shelf with two drawers for storage as well as a lower shelf. The entire piece rests on four carved legs. Traditionally, chests like these were the centerpiece of a bride’s dowry and contained the items she was taking with her to her husband’s house.

Condition

This piece is an antique, but is still quite sturdy with patina on the brass
