Item Details

Circa 1880, a Grand Vals miniature oil lamp often called a ‘Time lamp’. The lamp has graduated hours embossed vertically on the side and story has it that the owner would check the oil level of the lamp, light it and place it on a table when a suitor came to call. When the oil level dropped one or two hours, it was time for the suitor to leave. Grand Vals embossed to base with original beehive shade to top and night lamp burner.

Condition

Good vintage condition. some wear to shade edges
