An inscribed and signed cartoon drawing on board by American artist Don Sheppard. This cartoon depicts a military doctor administering medicine to a solider with an oversized funnel in his mouth. The inscription reads, ‘Sincerely to Doc Weaver from Don Sheppard.’ Sheppard began his career at the age of 20, publishing works in the Stars and Stripes World War I magazine. Sheppard went on to become a professional artist for Disney, Warner Brothers, and Hanna-Barbera among others.
