Pair of Mid Century Modern Armchairs

Item Details

A pair of Mid Century Modern club chairs in the style of Paul Jensen’s ‘Z’ chair design. The chairs are of solid hardwood with the back and seat comprised of metal wires affixed to the wood frame to support the cushions. They each have blue, woven wool-type fabric-covered cushions for the seat and back; the covered are zippered for easy removal and cleaning. The top rail finials form a slanted square shape; the armrests form an elongated triangle tapering back to the stiles. The legs continue the angular shapes with a concave curve to the front legs.

Condition

- to fair. there is some water staining and scuffing to the wood; wear is consistent with age and use. The cushion fabric appears to be in good condition.
