Original Bob Bechdolt "Overlapping Circles" Koptic Art Painting
Item Details
An original Bob Bechdolt Overlapping Circles koptic art painting. Koptic art, coined by Bechdolt, is the conversion of kinetic art and optic art; meaning this piece has to be seen fully by moving from one side to the other and because of that it creates an optical illusion. The wood background is painted white and there are six three-dimensional triangles that pop from the surface. There are a series of overlapping and broken up circles in greens, red, orange, and blue that are painted onto these. When you stand to the right of the painting you are able to see two full circles, a red and orange one. When you look from the left side you can see a green and blue circle. This illusionistic painting is very interesting and one-of-a-kind. Signed by artist with date (1984) in the right corner. Presented in a gold tone frame. EBTH recommends attending the preview to view this work if you have never experience koptic art before.
