A neat set of John Player & Sons 1926 ‘Footballers Caricatures’ cigarette players cards by RIP. Hailing from a series of fifty, these cards feature 1-26 of 1926 football players as caricatures, where the other half of the series featured rugby. Although not pictured, the back of each card highlights the player with their position and notable achievements. The bottom reads ‘Issued by John Player & Sons, Branch of the Imperial Tobacco Co. (of Great Britain and Ireland) Ltd.’ Cards are custom matted behind glass and presented in a wood frame from the era.
