US Army Corp of Engineers 1044 Clinometer w/ Leather Case

A 1944 clinometer used by the US Army Corps of Engineers with the original leather case. Both the clinometer and the case have a castle embossed on them. The Clinometer is stamped ‘ENG. DEPT. USCE 1944 S & W’. The leather case is hand stitched. A clinometer is an instrument for measuring angles of slope (or tilt), elevation or depression of an object with respect to gravity.
