Haviland French China Plates and English Teacups

A collection of Haviland French china plates and English teacups. The plate company was started in Limoges, France by an American named Haviland in 1842. There are eight Haviland plates, one serving plate, one Collingwoods teacup with saucer, and one Crownford teacup and unmarked saucer. Five of the plates are matching, and have rose and vine adornments, with a scalloped and beaded edge. Another plate is similar in design with blue clematis flowers. The last two plates have scalloped edges with relief, and pink wild rose patterns. The serving plate has pink roses and vines as well. These are all 8.5 inch plates. The Collingwood cup and saucer are rose colored, the cup has a gold rim, handle, base trim, and gold leaf and vine band inside the cup with a crown and the initials ER II. The saucer has a gold rim as well. The Crownford cup is white and has yellow and pink rose adornments, gold accents on the handle, and a gold lace design on the inside rim. The saucer has gold rose designs in relief.

Condition

One of the matching five plates is chipped on the rim.
