A radio receiver known as The Country Belle Telephone Radio by Guild (Model 556). The Country Belle looks like an antique wall telephone, but it’s actually a vintage superheterodyne radio receiver. Lift the earpiece and the tubes inside will warm up to generate music. It features two decorative bells on the front and a small, built-in desk just like early generations of telephones where you can rest the earpiece speaker or keep a notepad and pen. The mouthpiece can be pivoted up or down and it includes knobs for adjusting the tone and volume and a crank to adjust through AM stations. Made in 1956. Untested.
