18" Kestner Doll

An 18’ Kestner Doll. Manufactured in Germany in the late 19th to early 20th century by JD Kestner. The doll features a bisque shoulder plate head with threaded paperweight eyes and an open closed mouth with molded teeth. The doll has original wig, kid leather body and original bisque hands. The doll is dressed in clothing dating from the period. On the of the head the number ‘9’ is hand written. Along the back of the shoulders ’Made in Germany ’ is also hand written. While the doll has her original wig at some point in time it has been cut and restyled.
