An original collage fiber art piece by Florida artist Suzanne Bellows, titled ‘Simple Addition’. This colorful work is composed of watercolored segments to the background, in aqua, gold, purple and blue, and is overlaid with an array of natural forms, with leaves, Oriental coins and characters, decorative calligraphic elements, a narrow wire ladder and strips of vivid handmade dyed silks. The artist states ‘my collages build and evolve from one moment to the next, just as we ourselves move through time and experience life’. The collage is protected under glass and finished in a varnished wood frame with decorative edges.
