A circa 1857 woodblock print titled Concubine by Japanese artist Utagawa Kunisada (1786-1864). The color woodblock print depicts a young concubine, crouched and shield herself, from something off the image. She sits in a room divided by a flowered screen, with a red lantern to her right and bed to her left. There are characters to the top right and lower left. The print is presented in a black painted wood and glass plated frame.
