A 1943 This is the Enemy WWII propaganda lithograph poster print. The religious fear propaganda poster depicts a Nazi soldier, with a swastika on the sleeve of his uniform, stabbing the Holy Bible with a dagger and the quote underneath ‘This is the Enemy’ all against a gradient red background. The print is labelled to the lower section ‘OWI Poster- No. 76, Additional copies may be obtained upon request from the Divison of Public Inquiries, office of War Information, Washington D.C., U.S. Government Printing Office: 1943-O-533688’. The poster is set in a double grey and burgundy mat and presented in a top twist wood and glass plated frame.
Condition
- the poster has folding creases, likely folded to be mailed. Scuffs to frame.
