Vintage Steamer Trunk with Eagle Lock Company Hardware
Item Details
A vintage steamer trunk with hardware from the Eagle Lock Company. Based in Terryville, Connecticut, the Eagle Lock Company were prolific manufacturers of locks used for steamer trunks around the 1900s. This imposing chest stands over 2’ tall and features external metal plating reinforced by oak bands. The inside of the chest is missing the interior tray and is lined in striped paper.
Condition
The lock is missing a key and is untested. The outside of the trunk is scuffed and rusted. The inside of the trunk is musty; the paper is stained and torn with some possible mold.
