A collection of vintage tin containers for various products. Before plastic, manufacturers embraced using printed tin containers for their products. Metal could not only be formed into sealed containers to maintain freshness but could also be printed in bright colors to advertise the contents on store shelves. This collection includes a Calumet Baking Powder can, a Davis OK Baking Powder can, two Kroger brand spice cans, a Wyler’s Beef Flavor Bouillon Cubes container, A Carr’s Table Water Biscuit container, and a White Owl 10 cent cigar tin. There is also a Nabisco Famous Ginger Wafers tin that is missing its lid.
