Antique Carved Garuda Bird Sculpture

Item Details

An antique carved candleholder, possibly Indonesian, shaped like a garuda bird, with a bird body and dragon head on two feet with carved talons. The wood has faded gold and black paint and a cutout in the back to hold a candle or small vessel.

Condition

The neck has been repaired, and the feet have been re-secured. There are small dents throughout, and there’s a small chip on the back of the dragon’s mane.
