Herschede "The Clock" Model 250, Nine Tube Hall Clock in Burl

A striking Herschede hall clock, circa 1968, considered to be ‘The Clock’ (model 250) with nine tubes, three brass weights and a beautiful burled wood case with brass trim. The hall clock has a shell carved and scrolled pediment with brass ornamentation and finials, a cut cornered base and a full length door. The dial has a smaller seconds dial, moon phase window and Arabic numerals. The owner has the option of choosing ‘Whittington’, ‘Canturbury’ or ‘Westminster’ chimes and both the crank style key and the key to the case are both present and working. The serial number at the back of the works is 623557 which dates the clock to 1968.
Condition
The clock was tested to be working however accuracy of time keeping was not recorded.
