Chinese Chang'e Carved Soapstone Figure

A Chinese hand carved soapstone Chang’e moon goddess figure. Chang’e is comprised of a light green soapstone form heavily draped in robes, hair pulled in a chignon, curled fabric wrapped around her shoulders and holds a rabbit, her companion, in her left arm. The figure is carved to a burgundy soapstone base. Unmarked.
