Framed Prints by Frederic James and Aerial View of Lexington, KY
Item Details
A lot of two framed offset lithographic prints of original watercolors by Frederic James (American, 1915-1985) and an 1825 view of the town of Lexington, KY. The White Sycamore depicts an gnarled and ancient tree which occupies the landscape like a sculpture or a building, actualizing the empty space around it. The second print shows a distant view of a modern city which contrasts with the curving snowy road and old brick house in the middle grounds. The 1825 view of Lexington, Kentucky is compiled by J. Winston Coleman and Henry H. Looms. It shows an aerial view of the roads and important buildings.
