Globe Werneke Mahogany Barrister Bookcase

Item Details

A mahogany barrister bookcase by Globe Werneke of Cincinnati, Ohio. With six glass front stacks, it has a a top trim piece and footed base. Five of the six sections feature a glass lifting door, and all feature a brass knob with Globe Werneke paper labels inside. Some of the labels show wear and some are different in style to the others. The sections of the bookcase are marked, and were built with one each Globe Werneke styles D-8.5-398, D-8.5-598, D-8.5-598 (missing door), D-85-598, D-8.5-398, D-8.5-398 and a D-10.25-398.

This piece co-ordinates with item 15WDC006-024 but is different in height.

Condition

- fair, there is some wear to the finish and edges. One stack is missing the glass. Wear is consistent with age and use.
