Victorian Eastlake Style Washstand

Item Details

A Victorian Eastlake style washstand, circa 1870-1890, in mixed woods, primarily ash. With petal shaped spoon carving accents on the back splash and leaf spoon carvings on the drawers and paneled sides. Pin and cove dovetail drawers with one porcelain caster, two wood casters and one caster is missing the roller, only the hardware remains. The metal hardware with an antique brass finish is not original but the wood door knob is.

Condition

Only one caster, is original. One caster is missing the roller, The metal hardware with an antique brass finish is not original. The top is cracked where it has been reattached with a nail. Wear is appropriator for age.
