An original oil on board by well-listed Cincinnati artist Robert Fabe (American, 1917 – 2004). Fabe received his formal fine art education at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and the Art Students League. He opened an independent studio between 1940-1941, but closed to serve in the Armed Service in infantry and Combat during WWII. After his return to Cincinnati, Fabe taught at the Art Academy and the University of Cincinnati. The painting depicts a group of children skating on a frozen pond on a winters day. To the background is a row of colorful mustard yellow, creme orange, white and grey houses. Signed to the lower right conner. This is presented in a linen and moulded wood frame. An artist biography is attached to the back.
