E T Hurley Signed Bronze Crab Sculpture

An E T Hurley (1869-1950) signed bronze crab sculpture paperweight of an intricately detailed crab with turquoise eyes. The material used for the eyes are actual scrapings from the Rookwood kilns. Edward Timothy Hurley was a Rookwood Pottery artist 1896-1948. A native Cincinnatian, he became well-known internationally for his paintings and etchings while still working at Rookwood Pottery. This wonderful piece is signed ‘ETH’.
