Duncan Phyfe Style Drop-Leaf Table and Chairs
Item Details
A handsome Duncan Phyfe style drop-leaf table in mahogany and four Duncan Phyfe style chairs. The table features two hinged drop panels at the sides, with rounded corners, and stands on two lathe-turned posts joined by a turned spreader. Each post has two curving legs with claw-shaped metal caps. The chairs include one armchair and three side chairs, all with needlepoint seats with floral designs on black backgrounds.
Condition
- the table is in good condition, with only minor scratches, but the chairs are in fair condition. All four chairs have moderate wear and scratches to the finish, and on the armchair, one of the scrolled armrests is broken.
